How OpenAnalyst handles your information.
This notice covers information received through the public website and early business conversations. A customer agreement and deployment documentation may add more specific terms for a live service.
Privacy notice
Effective 16 July 2026
Scope and responsibility
OpenAnalyst is responsible for the personal information described in this notice when it decides why and how that information is used. This notice applies to visitors, prospective customers, business contacts and people who communicate with us about the public website.
When OpenAnalyst processes information on behalf of a customer in a deployed workflow, the signed customer agreement and its data-processing terms take priority for that service.
Information you provide
We receive information you choose to submit through contact forms, workflow discussions, account requests and other business correspondence. This can include your name, work email, telephone number, company, role and the operational information you decide to share.
Please avoid sending confidential records, sensitive personal information or production customer data through a general website form unless we have agreed a suitable channel and purpose with you.
Technical information
The website and its infrastructure may create technical and security records such as IP address, device and browser type, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, approximate location and error or access logs.
We use these records to deliver the site, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and understand general site performance. Essential browser storage may be used where it is required for a requested feature or security control.
Why we use information
We use business contact information to answer an enquiry, assess workflow fit, prepare or provide a requested service, manage the commercial relationship and meet legal or accounting duties. We use technical information to operate, protect and improve the website.
The legal basis depends on the circumstances and the law that applies. It may include taking steps at your request, performing a contract, meeting a legal obligation, a legitimate business interest or consent where consent is required.
Marketing and your choices
We may send relevant business communication where you asked for it or where applicable law otherwise permits. You can ask us to stop marketing communication at any time by using the option in the message or contacting us.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information submitted through a business enquiry to make decisions about eligibility for employment, credit, insurance or another high-impact service.
Who receives information
OpenAnalyst may use service providers for hosting, security, communications, customer management, document handling and professional advice. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their work and are expected to protect it.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a corporate transaction, or when you direct or authorise the disclosure.
International transfers
Some providers or team members may process information outside the country where it was collected. When a transfer requires a safeguard, we use the mechanism required by the applicable law and consider the protection available in the destination.
You can contact us if you want more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described here, a continuing business relationship, a legal or accounting obligation, security, or the resolution of a dispute. The period varies by record and context.
We use administrative, technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of personal information, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy. You may also be entitled to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.
Send a request through the contact page. We may need to verify your identity, clarify the request or retain information where the law allows or requires it. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Children, changes and contact
The website is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information through the website.
We may update this notice when the website, our practices or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest published version. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through the contact page.
